Working with digital equipment as well as film and transparency, in either 35 mm or 5 x 4 format, Colin has an in-depth knowledge of processing film by hand and knows its requirements and limitations.

His firm belief is that a full understanding of previous technology can help a great deal when learning about new processes and techniques. Whilst film is still his preferred medium, he also appreciates the immediacy and convenience of digital images, and uses several digital cameras alongside traditional film equipment and lenses.
